Kenya plans to continue with the close down of Dadaab camp, the world’s largest refugee camp.
Kenya decision for the closure comes about as a result of security concerns specifically with pending attacks on the camp.
Somalia’s president has appealed for another alternative to bring home refugees form his country.
“President Hassan Sheik Mohamed told the BBC that forced repatriation was not in the best interests of either country,” BBC reported.
President Hassan also expressed his gratitude for Kenya’s support in housing the refugees over a long period and was devoted to getting its people home.
Dabaab camp was established in 1991 and is home to over 300,000 Somalis who have been living there for over two decades.
