The Central Region Chapter of Tatas & Friends organized a mind-blowing Christmas party for the blind and deaf children over the weekend in Cape Coast, Ghana – West Africa.
Tatas & Friends, a non-governmental organization is known for initiating kindness and care to the disabled and destitute children in Ghana.
The prior weekend’s celebration, like their other events such as “Kenkey for the needy” attracted a multitude motivated to sponsor and participate in the occasion as well.
In this season’s yuletide, there has been a paradigm shift from the holidays shopping and celebrations to thinking about others who may lack thereof. “Yendi bronya” as the Christmas party was dubbed simple appeals to us as human beings to consider those with disability and reach out to them. Indeed, there is no greater joy than giving.
“We had a dream to help the destitute among us; the children in the orphanages with no hope of having a parental figure to train them; disabled teenagers that have become social outcast; even those from the far reach of our arms, isolated in rural condensations we popularly call villages and so much,” noted a member of Tatas & Friends.
“Growing up in a developing country, we have seen how these destitute children got the very unpleasant life and yet still kept on hoping for a brighter future,” another member said.
The young vibrant members of Tatas & Friends on December 23, will journey to the Ashanti Region of Ghana to brighten the lives of the little children of Edwenase Rehabilitation Centre.
